FLEX

À la carte courses to fit your needs

Overview

All Minds Academy’s FLEX program is designed for students and families looking to supplement or enrich their learning experience through our academic courses, but are not looking to earn credit toward a high school diploma within our program.

Note - Currently, our FLEX program includes math courses only, but we will be adding more courses in the near future. Eventually, most of our courses will be available through FLEX.

The table below shows the main differences between FLEX and our diploma program, ASCEND.

ComMUNICATION PARTNERs in Flex

Within FLEX, communication partners are not required to apply for approval or submit videos. However, the expectations regarding best practices and code of conduct are the same as those of students enrolled in ASCEND. Communication partners should familiarize themselves with these expectations as set forth in our communication partner guide. Prior to enrollment, the student, if possible, and anyone supporting them must attend an initial consultation and orientation meeting with our Director during which these expectations will be addressed.

While FLEX does not include regular advisor meetings, these can be booked independently. We strongly encourage families and communication partners to meet an advisor periodically. Our skilled and experienced advisors have a variety of backgrounds and expertise that enable them to support and encourage parents, students, and communication partners .

Completion certificate

FLEX students have the option of earning a completion certificate for their private records. To be eligible, they must complete and submit the exercises for each lesson, except for exercises marked optional. They must also schedule an exit meeting with an advisor (consultation fee applies).  Please note, courses taken through FLEX do not fall within the parameters of our accredited program. At this time, if accreditation is desired, a student must enroll in the ASCEND diploma program AND complete of all the graduation requirements.

FLEX ENROLLMENT

Step 1.

The application process for our FLEX program is different from ASCEND, but the initial step is the same. Begin by thoroughly reviewing the information on our website. There will be a quiz on this later. Just kidding. But seriously, please make your best effort to read the information on the website first.

Then complete an initial inquiry form. Upon submission, an email will be sent containing a link to set up a brief, complimentary meeting with one of our advisors to determine which, if any, of our programs is best for your student.

Step 2.

If the recommendation is to enroll in FLEX a link to set up a 50-minute initial consultation and orientation meeting with our Director, Dr. Jen Leon. *This meeting only occurs at the start of FLEX enrollment and requires a one time fee of $175. All necessary instructions will be provided during this meeting and expectations. Parents and any potential communication partners should attend this meeting. If possible, the student should attend as well, even if only for a brief meet and greet.

*If it has been more than 12 months since active enrollment, this step will need to be repeated.

Step 3.

An enrollment agreement link will be sent to select courses and initiate course access upon tuition payment.

FLEX Tuition

September 2024 - August 2025

FLEX tuition includes access to the lesson videos, guided notes, adapted exercises, and answer keys. Also included in the tuition is access to the course teacher for clarifying questions through google classroom. For an additional fee, the student or communication partner may request private tutoring sessions as needed from the teacher for more involved, time-intensive academic questions. And for communication or general program support they may book a consultation/meeting with an advisor.

Some courses require additional materials like books and other supplies. These are not included in the monthly tuition and must purchased directly by the family.
